| 'View
of the Ganges' |
|
| "After
an
eleven hour drive from Delhi we climbed into the foothills
of the Himalaya's and this magnificent view of the river Ganges
appeared from the roadside as we rounded a bend hundreds of
feet above the canyon floor. There were troops of monkeys on
either
side of the road staking out
their
territory. Continuing
on another two hundred kilometers or so would have brought
us to the Tibet border. |
